Export template file
After a template design is complete, we need to export it to a template file from Flash, then upload the file to the YouVivid website for testing shown in the next paragraph. The export function is achieved by using the [uCard Export] command. The [uCard export] command is installed into your Flash program when we installed the uCard components in an earlier paragraph. The template file will be exported to the same folder as your fla file with file name as "file_name.ucd". Let's follow the steps to export the template file.
- Click on [Commands] in the Flash program menu, in the popup sub-menu, click on [uCard Export].
- The [uCard export] command exports the SWF file from your design, and packs the swf file together with image, font, xml files, and other data files into the exported template file "[fla name].ucd".
- When the [uCard export] is done, you will find the result template file "*.ucd" in the working directory. Now we need to upload it to the YouVivid server for testing.
